In today’s fast paced world, presentations are a great way to deliver your message in a unique way. They allow you combine text, graphics and multimedia content to drive your message to your target audience.
But have you ever needed to create a quick presentation and there’s no PC in sight? Now you can easily create a presentation on the move using a presentation tool on your smartphone. You can do this with or without an internet connection and access your presentation anywhere at any time.
In this post we’ll share how to create presentations using three popular presentation tools on your smartphone, so you have a variety of options to choose from.
Create A Presentation Using Google Slides
Google Slide allows you create presentations on the go, contribute with teams on presentations and automatically save your progress to the web. You can also edit and save PowerPoint files with the app.
Step 1: Download the Google Slides app from the App store on your iPhone or Playstore on your android device.
Step 2: Open the app and click on the red plus sign in the lower right corner of your phone. You have the option of choosing a template from the several available on the app or starting a new blank presentation. For this exercise we’ll start a new blank presentation
Step 3: Double tap to add a title and subtitle to your presentation. To add slides, click on the icon in the bottom right corner. To insert objects, comments, texts or media in your slide, click on the ” + “button at the top of the screen. To Undo/Redo an action, click on the Undo/Redo button is on at the top of the screen.
View a presentation of your slides by clicking the play button at the top of the screen. Share with team mates by clicking the share button next to the play button.
You can always access other options by clicking on the three vertical dots at the top right hand of the screen. Even more options are available by long pressing the presentation in the home screen.
Create A Presentation Using PowerPoint
PowerPoint is a popular presentation tool by Microsoft. You can also create presentations on the go, access and edit presentations linked to your account. Let’s begin creating a presentation with this app.
Step 1: Download Microsoft PowerPoint from the App store on your iPhone or Playstore on your android device. The app offers more robust features than Google Slides such as font formatting, designs and so much more similar to the desktop version.
Step 2: Open the app on your device and click on the new presentation icon at the top of the screen. You can choose to create your new slide in your one drive folder, on your mobile device or a different location of your choice and set it as your default location. Select either a blank presentation or from the templates provided in the app.
Step 3: Double tap the slide to add a title and subtitle. To add a new slide, click on the button in the lower right corner of the screen.
You can add objects, texts, comments and media using the options at the bottom of a screen. Rename your presentation by tapping on the name at the top of the screen.
You can access many more options such as help, adding transition effects, animations, designs and drawings by clicking the little arrow button at the bottom right of the screen. Just like Google Slides, the three vertical dots at the top right of the screen displays even more options such as app settings and share options.
Create A Presentation Using WPS Office
WPS is another free alternative to make beautiful presentations on your phone. The app is simple to use yet very powerful as it offers a large selection of templates to work with, and several elements to make your presentation stand out beautifully. you can also share slides and save your presentations on the WPS Cloud. Let’s create a new presentation with the app.
Step 1: Download and install the WPS Office App from Google Playstore or the App store onto your device
Step 2: Open the app and in the Recent screen, select the little plus icon at the bottom right corner of the screen, select “new presentation” once the options come up. If you’d rather begin with a template, select “templates” at the bottom of the screen and choose from a wide selection to work with. The templates also appear once you’ve selected “new presentation” but you need to be connected to the internet to view the templates.
Step 3: Select blank to begin with a blank presentation and double tap to add a title and subtitle. You can add new slides, objects, pictures and even background music to your presentation by selecting your preferred option at the bottom of the screen.
Create a WPS account to sync your work on the WPS cloud and work on any device, anywhere. You can save your presentation in any local location you prefer on your phone or on a cloud storage you add to the app. You also get the option of exporting to PDF if you wish to.
How To Make Sure You Can Always Access Your Presentation
Once you’ve put in the hardwork to create a beautiful presentation, you want to make sure you have no issues accessing it at anytime. We’ve put together some recommendations on how to make this happen.
Create a cloud storage account: A cloud storage is an online storage space where you can safely upload your files: photos, documents, audio files, pretty much anything. Our top three preferred cloud storage providers are One Drive, Google Drive and DropBox. You can create a free account on any of these platforms and save your presentations to your cloud storage account.
Share with team mates: This way if you ever have any issues accessing your presentation, you can always call on your team mates for help
